Move to Change Academy envisions itself to be a community of diverse learners, leading a purpose-filled life for the people, planet, and the Philippines. Move to Change Academy aims to provide relevant and accessible learning experiences for young Filipinos.
Our Move to Change scholars
Our mission in the Move to Change Academy is to support Filipino learners and help develop their changemaking abilities so that they may be able to initiate positive change in the society. Currently, Move to Change Academy is carrying out this mission through supporting 16 scholars around the Philippines. Additionally, Move to Change Academy is also working on a short changemaking development program called the Young Movers Program for Filipino youth aged 12-14 years old.
Our Move to Change Scholarship program provides Filipino youths access to quality education and holistic support. Unlike other scholarship programs which give merit to the scholars’ grade point average, Move to Change gives merit to our scholars’ character, and leadership potential in school, within their families, and within their communities. Aside from the individual support our scholars receive, Move to Change also provides their families access to our various programs as we believe that to support our youth we must also support their families.
Our upcoming program called the Young Movers Program is a changemaking development program for learners aged 12-14 years old. It aims to enhance their socio-emotional skills including their self-awareness and self-management. It aims to develop their intrapersonal and interpersonal skills, increase their social awareness and empathy, and hone their unique changemaking abilities.
